Hello everyone!
So, as I said in my post, my Novella, A Conversation with Mienk is currently undergoing the final stages of her publication process and will be released in the very near future.
I can confirm that the story is part of The Dark Doctrines series and tells the tale of Mienk, our Ghoul with an attitude, who finds herself unexpectedly stuck as she takes a shortcut home. Just to make matters worse, poor Mienk has discovered that she's stuck in a room with a human named Amanda, who is holding a knife and sitting very quietly. . .
Not wanting to hurt the human, Mienk steps forwards and introduces herself to the woman. Little does Mienk know that Amanda suffers from a serious mental health condition and subsequently freaks out (as you would). Mienk quickly realises that Amanda's knife wasn't intended for her. . .
By sunrise, Mienk is still in Amanda's apartment, and the human begins to understand that the Ghoul isn't another hallucination. The two begin to talk and what follows is a series of in-depth, brutally honest conversations, laughs, many cups of tea and chips!
(Oh, and an extremely horrific thing does happen to Amanda's abusive partner, Dale, but rest assured there is a happy ending!)
